About Dublin Fashion Festival
Dublin Fashion Festival is an annual fashion and shopping event brought to you by DublinTown which takes place over a week each year.
With over 250 retailers, restaurants, bars and hotels taking part in the event each year, Ireland’s biggest fashion event is a must for fashionistas and shoppers alike. In the past the festival has included the city’s 8 flagships: Brown Thomas & BT2, Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre, Powerscourt Centre, Arnotts, Ilac Shopping Centre (including Debenhams), Jervis Shopping Centre & Penneys and also independent boutiques and high street stores.
Over the last decade Dublin has become a go to destination for fashion, style and an exciting mix of retail options, from designer and high street to vintage. Dublin Fashion Festival aims to put the fun and theatre back into shopping and socialising in the city. Bringing fashion and beauty retailers in the city centre together, it offers a mix of special offers, live fashion events and in-store activities that are unmissable.
A big part of the festival is The Young Designer of the Year competition. Free to enter, this is a great opportunity for up-and-coming designers to showcase their work and for fashionista’s to see the next generation of designers. There is a huge amount of talent in this country for fashion design and DublinTown is delighted to use the festival as an opportunity to support and showcase these young designers.
Each year a well known face in the Irish fashion industry has been crowned the ‘Face of Dublin Fashion Festival’ including Karen Koster, Sonia Lennon, Amanda Byram, Angela Scanlon, Laura Whitmore, Pippa O’Connor and Darren Kennedy.
All work during this festival is a collaboration between the local businesses and DublinTown
