DublinTown: Extinction Rebellion in Dublin City

There has been recent news coverage as to the climate change activism group Extinction Rebellion ‘s plans to “shut down” Dublin through protests and activities in the city centre.
Climate change is a serious issue and one that needs to be addressed, however it is the view of DublinTown that severely disrupting the much needed daily activities of the 300,000 people who access the city centre is not the way to build consensus on the issue.
Our CEO Richard Guiney recently spoke on The Pat Kenny Show and the Claire Byrne show in regards to the planned protest. DublinTown will update with further information on what is planned when known.
