Eamon Ryan, Minister for Transport, has published for public consultation draft Universal Design Guidelines for Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure.

The Guidelines support the roll out of well designed, easy to use charging infrastructure. The document suggests best practice in relation to the:
- the design of the charging station,
- accessibility of the site,
- and the information and communications to inform users before, during, and after a charging session.
The Department of Transport is now inviting everyone to have their say by completing the public survey accompanying the draft Guidelines. The survey is available here.
The closing date for taking part in the public consultation is 5pm on Tuesday, September 26 2023.
