DublinTown statement in relation to public transport disruptions this morning

In reaction to the public transport disruptions in Dublin this morning, March 31st 2017, DublinTown would like to make the following statement:

DublinTown is pro-public transport but the service needs to be reliable. We cannot have a situation where all public transport disappears without notice. People coming into the city to work were affected by this morning’s action but shoppers tend to come into the city after 10am. We are glad that the pickets have been lifted and believe that things will return to normal very soon. However, we certainly would not like to see a repeat of this morning’s action.
