Current Roadworks & Temporary Road
Closures
York Street, Dublin 2
- Period 1: from 00.00hrs to 11.00hrs on Sunday 10th August 2014.
- Period 2: from 00.00hrs to 11.00hrs on Sunday 17th August 2014.
- Traffic wishing to travel on St. Stephens Green West to Mercer Street will be diverted via St Stephens Green South, East & North and Glovers Alley.
- Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.
The Rock n Roll Dublin Half Marathon
Competitor Sports Ireland Ltd. intends to close the following road to facilitate the start area for
the Rock ‘n’ Roll Dublin Half Marathon:
- North Wall Quay, (from Castleforbes Road to East Wall Road), Dublin 1 from 02.00hrs to 11.00hrs on Bank Holiday Monday 4th August 2014.
Traffic Management Plan
- Traffic on East Wall Road wishing to travel inbound on North Wall Quay will be diverted via Sheriff Street.
- Traffic on Custom House Quay & North Wall Quay wishing to travel on East Wall Road will be diverted via Guild Street and Sheriff Street.
- Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.
During the event, from 08.15hrs to 12.30hrs on Monday 4th August 2014, the Gardai will implement rolling road closures along the course, from North Wall Quay, Custom House Quay, Memorial Bridge, George’s Quay, Aston Quay, Wellington Quay, Essex Quay, Wood Quay, Winetavern Street, High Street, Bridge Street, Cook Street, Winetavern Street, Merchants Quay, Ushers Quay, Ushers Island. Victoria Quay, St John’s Road West, Military Road, (via Royal Hospital), South Circular Road, Inchicore Road, Sarsfield Road, St Laurence’s Road, Chapelizod Road to Chapelizod Gate and finishing line in Phoenix Park.
Grafton Street, Dublin 2
Dublin City Council’s Road Construction Division intends to close the following roads to facilitate
the Grafton Street Improvement Scheme:
- Grafton Street (Anne Street South to Chatham Street), Dublin 2 from 0.00hrs on Monday 30th June 2014 to 24.00hrs on Saturday 30th August 2014, for entire period.
Traffic Management Plan
- Traffic accessing Grafton Street from Nassau Street and Wicklow Street will exit via South Anne Street. The exit route will be facilitated by temporarily reversing traffic flow on South Anne Street between Grafton Street and Anne’s Lane.
- Traffic wishing to access to Grafton Street northern section (Chatham Street to St Stephen’s Green) will enter via Clarendon Street & Chatham Street and exit via St. Stephen’s Green North.
- Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.
Marlborough Street, Dublin 1
GMC Utilities Group Limited intends to close the following street to facilitate Luas Cross City
Works:
- Marlborough Street (from Parnell Street to Cathal Brugha Street), Dublin 1 from 0.00hrs on Tuesday 22nd July to 24.00hrs on Monday 15th September 2014, for the entire period. This is an extension of the temporary road closure that was due to end on Monday 21st July 2014 but which has had to be extended due to unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic Management Plan
- Traffic on Parnell Street wishing to travel south on Marlborough Street will be diverted via Cumberland Street North and Cathal Brugha Street.
- Traffic on Cathal Brugha Street wishing to travel north on Marlborough Street to Parnell Street will be diverted via Cumberland Street North.
- Pedestrian and local access will be maintained.
Cathedral Street, Dublin 1
GMC Utilities Group Limited intends to close the following road to facilitate Luas Cross City Works:
- Cathedral Street (from Thomas Lane to Marlborough Street), Dublin 1 from 0.00hrs on Thursday 1st May to 24.00hrs on Monday 1st September 2014.
Traffic Management Plan
- A one-way system, southbound, will be implemented on Marlborough Street, from Cathal Brugha to Cathedral Street.
- Local traffic on Marlborough Street, on section North Earl Street to Cathal Brugha Street, wishing to travel on Cathal Brugha Street, will be diverted via Cathedral Street (by means temporary traffic management) and Thomas Lane.
- Pedestrian and local access will be maintained
