Graffiti removal in Dublin City

In 2009 DublinTown began its graffiti removal programme in the city centre Business Improvement District. Last year alone our cleaning teams and contractors removed over 20,000 metre square of graffiti in the city, to put that in perspective that is twice the size of the pitch at the Aviva Stadium.
While the amount of graffiti has decreased since its peak in 2009 some taggers strive to put their own safety and the safety of others at risk by defacing the upper floors of buildings in the city centre. Recently a number of listed buildings had their roofs and upper floors tagged in the city centre, so last night one of our contractors using a hoist set about removing these tags.
