Information on changes to General Data Protection Regulation

Changes to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into effect in May 2018.

In advance of this change, Retail Excellence in association with Grant Thornton have developed a manual with an overview of the key changes set to happen.

This manual, created by Grant Thornton, is retail focused to ensure Irish retailers are compliant with the new regulation.

According to the manual, it is crucial that retailers have a secure operation in place when handling all customer data to ensure information is only used for its intended purpose.
