Show Your Paw for Access Rights
- Fri 05 April, 2024
Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind is asking members to “Show their Paw for Access Rights” by prominently displaying their window stickers near entry locations in businesses.
By displaying stickers your staff, customers and visitors will be supporting and recognising the legal right of Guide Dog and Assistance Dog owners to access and participate in society under both Irish equality legislation, the Equal Status Acts (2000-2018) and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Businesses that show support for this important campaign will be highlighted through mentions on the charity’s social media channels – and logos of participating businesses will be shown on their website.
Please contact access@guidedogs.ie if you require stickers (and provide your logo for inclusion on the website).
Photos of the sticker in situ in your office or premises will be gladly received.
Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind has a range of information guides on their website, which give businesses advice on how to support and welcome people who have working dogs.
See https://www.guidedogs.ie/access-rights for more details.
