What Dublin City could learn from New York City’s Example

  • Wed 05 February, 2014

Dublin City BID CEO  Richard Guiney met with Robert Steel New York City Deputy Mayor to Michael Bloomberg last year to hear about the ways in which New York had successfully addressed issues around crime and anti-social behaviour and had managed to stimulate economic and population growth and investment in a city that is now setting a trend for other urban centres in North America and around the world.  Dublin City BID similarly works to improve Dublin in economic and quality of life terms, taking ideas and inspiration from international best practice. We believe that the success achieved in cities like New York can be replicated here in Dublin.

Enclosed is a copy of the Deputy Mayor Steel’s presentation on economic development and improving New York City’s quality of life which can be viewed  here.
